Magic City Brewfest 2008

This is just a short post to say a huge THANK YOU to our event sponsors - the breweries and wholesalers, the food vendors - to the bands, and especially to our volunteers who gave up part of their weekend to come and work extremely hard to make sure every attendee had a great time.

Unfortunately we had problems with the crowds on the Saturday night, and it is especially disappointing that people who had paid tickets had problems getting in. This is something we are already looking into so that we can do it better next year. Those of you who braved the weather and still had fun on Sunday will have seen some of the changes already, so that Magic City Brewfest 2009 can be even bigger and better!

I GOT A GLASS THIS YEAR! I had a great time Saturday night, however yes the lines for will call was a touch annoying. However when the outcome of the festivities were put into consideration, it was all worth it. I think lighting could have been a touch better as well. Bottom line though, you guys seriously stepped it up from last year! I'm already looking forward to next year!

I stood an hour and a half in line and I already had my ticket in hand! Some stands were already running out of beer when i got in. I stood in the bathroom line twice for 30 min. Thats 2hours of the festival I missed standing in freakin' line. What's the purpose of buying advanced tickets when you still have to wait in line! You guys need to get people into ORGANIZED LINES outside the gates. Not some guy with a bullhorn changing up the lines at the last minute.I probably won't be there next year unless something drastically changes. By the way, the band sucked.

Organization is something that definitely needs to be addressed. We stood in line for over an hour. Once I got in I had a great time. Everything was set up much better than the year before. Lighting could be improved. Overall I enjoyed it. Looking forward to next year.

every year there will be problems. We can't anticipate every problem, but we can promise you this: every problem will be identified and dealt with. The lines on Saturday, and the soft drinks for designated drivers were problems and we sorted out both of them for the Sunday session.

We can only apologise for these issues and promise to do it better next year :)

awesome time but lighting was an issue. it's hard to identify your friends after you had a few good beers and even more difficult to do so in the dark. still had a great time though! thanks!
